Personal: |
The two Keis are pretty f*cked up pieces of human
clonage. Although nothing is ever said (just hinted at), the
more monotone and lifeless one is somebody's clone, and the peppier
more vibrant one is the clone of that clone!... Don't ask which
is which, we still can't tell.
The Keis come aboard the Yamacsico near the end of the
series to replace some communications and operations officers....
Not much more can be said without ruining some big surprises,
sorry :) |

Lei-Lei

Personal: |
Lei-Lei (or "Lei" or even "LL"
to the friend or two that she has) is one of the most boring
and ultimately annoying characters I've ever seen! Monotone voice,
dull expression eternally plastered on her puss and an always
depressed mood characterize this irritating pile of paleness.
Lei-Lei is brought aboard the Yamacsico with Tyler
in the hopes of accessing "Time Dilation" to fight
the enemy with. Her counterpart with whom she shares communications
and operations duties with is Zero, who could easily be
her clone (or vice versa). Not much is known about Lei-Lei until
later in the story (and that stuff's spoiler filled ;). |

Lt.
Yamato

Personal: |
Well, well, well. Every ship needs a freaked
out second in command and that job for the Yamacsico falls
to Yamato. The Lt. is the grandson of the main designer of the
Super Space Battle Fortress Yamacsico (along engineers Macronia
and Nadesicona).
Yamato believes that he is the only one capable of running the
show and he is always getting frustrated with either Yurethra
and Fox for always shirking the responsiblities of their
ranks.
He soon becomes basic comedic fodder as he tries to usurp Yurethra's
command all the time only to be continuously thrawted by Fukuku
and Brian (who impersonates and Oni warrior to
throw Yamato off track). |

Lucki
Izuzu

Personal: |
Total headcase. Lucki makes it out of more impossible
scrapes than you could possibly imagine. Despite her great skill
in piloting mecha for the Yamacsico, Lucki believes that
she's instead blessed with some incredible luck that protects
her from all harm. Too bad the same can't be said for everybody
that hangs out with her.
Every man that gets close too Lucki ends up space dust. This
doesn't seem to bother Ms. Izuzu too much, but nobody on board
the Yamacsico wants to be her friend yet alone her lover! The
first to go was Dick Nutter. She sang a really bad haiku
on her ukulele at his funeral. She's a few fries short of a happy
meal, but as long as she's in her mecha and away from everybody
else, she's a great ally. |

Magidge
Club

Personal: |
The Magidge Club is the stuff that legends are
made of. Back when the Mamononi first attacked Earth a
long time ago, these martyrs sacrificed themselves in a kamikaze
attack on the Oni fleet using a buncha flying brooms and "duck
sticks". They had no real effect on the modern technology
and heavy artillery of the Oni spaceships and mecha, but their
gory deaths inspired many people to join the ranks of the ESDF
to eventually repel the onslaught (after 30 years). |
