It's me, Oni-chan, bringing you up to date as to the happenings
during my trip to Anime
Expo 1997 at the Los Angeles Airport
Hilton.
"Before I get into the
nitty-gritty of the glorious three day party, I must congratulate
the SPJA in their successful nabbing of some of the best minds
in the field of Anime to be kidnapped- uh, I mean graciously
sponsored as guests at this year's festivities. Some of
this year's standouts were: Akira Kamiya (voice of Ryo Saeba,
and Shutaro Mendo), Yasuhiro Imagawa (director and writer of
Giant Robo [one of the greatest OAVs ever made!]),
and Hiroaki Sato & Chiyako Shibahara (creator of Key:
The Metal Idol and voice of Miho in Key, respectively).
"A great time was had by
all and most everybody left happy on Sunday night (except for
a few people at the gripe session [which lasted two hours!!]).
"So now, ON WITH THE
SHOW!"

Check out a play by play reenactment of all the rugged stuff

in the land of Anime stars and CosPlays!
I apologize ahead of time for
the poopy quality of some of the pictures. You see, I didn't
use Kodak Gold Insta-Film and the shots I took inside the Hotel
came out really crappy. Gomen, mina-san!
And just so everyone knows,
I claim no ownership of Anime
Expo nor of the creation of their
logo's and such. This is just a page to show how incredibly
cool this con was and to try to get as many people as possible
in this world to attend it. Please, do not send me any money.
